Oregon will enter a 2-week shutdown on Wednesday because of a big increase in COVID-19 infections. Gatherings at home will be limited to six people, indoors or out. Restaurants will be takeout only. Museums will be closed.
The rate of positive COVID-19 tests was over 14% yesterday and there is concern about overwhelming hospitals in some areas. It is hoped that the 2-week statewide shutdown will bring infections under control and allow for an even broader relaxation of restrictions.
There will be a press briefing by Governor Brown at Noon today with complete details.
You know the drill. Keep your distance. Wear your mask. Avoid touching your face. Wash your hands. Stay safe and protect those around you.
